    DETAILS

The Owners MBA: Business Analysis & Success Strategy Essentials is an eighteen-hour program (6 nights) analyzing all aspects of your growing a small business. It provides early stage business owners the information they need plus opportunities to discuss and explore aspects of their business they may not have fully thought out. Owners of more mature businesses can review decisions they have made and reconsider where they would like to go and how to get there.  The course is based on the award winning "Street MBA" developed and taught by Diener and Triplett for over ten years at Austin Community College. They extracted the most important parts of the course and reduced the time to accommodate the tighter schedules of today's business owners. The course provides the background, information and support to determine how the business will progress in the next two to three years in only six sessions.

Main Concepts & Objectives

  • Identify or reevaluate your real goals and objectives for owning a business.
Learn about the three types of successful businesses and why you can only be one of them.
Choose one of the four methods to insure your business is successful.
Find out what taxes you must pay, when you must pay them, and what are your legal requirements.
See how to gain more customers at the least expense.
Identify which group of potential customers are best for you and which are worst.
Calculate how much money you will need to start or expand your business.
Identify the funding sources that are most likely to be interested in your business.
See how to setup and improve your bookkeeping and record keeping systems.
  • Create a Strategic Plan for your business.

This six-part modular program on business essentials is for young noncompeting businesses less than three years old. Attendees will analyze their business in terms of financials, marketing, administration, recordkeeping and books, and funding and identify better ways to make it more stable, profitable and transferable. The course focuses on creating a strategic plan for growth and providing many opportunities for decision making, discussion, and planning.
