- 1st Austin celebration of Small Business Month with special activities
- 1st time EA celebrates members’ business birthdays in the newsletter

- Introduces EA Corporate Partner program, bringing large and small

- Established Virtual Member program and gets its first out of state
member from Florida
- Introduced 1st New Product Showcase (nine companies participate) and

- Wonresearch grant from International Association of Business Communicators
on best practices for small businesses in the area of public relations
- Panelist on access to capital on the Lt. Governor's Texas Summit

- Keynote speaker for Grand Rapids Chamber for Small Business Month
