Mr.
Takada (right), BSC's representative in Japan, met at the BSC with member
Thomas Lotts (left), Sphaire Partners, to discuss opportunities in Japan.
Yoshi Takada is the Managing Director for Network & Alliance Business
Associates (NABA), which was founded in November 1993 by Hideo Seki and Yoshiharu
Takada, who has some 20 years of experience in foreign trade (mainly with
Europe and the U.S.) in the field of precision measurement and inspection
using electro-optics/laser technologies. NABA was established to sell advanced
European and American precision measurement and inspection products and technologies
to the Japanese market.
To accommodate their expanding business, they will relocate to new quarters and continue our operations there, effective May 1, 2000. The new office, which located in the center of business district, is about a four-minute walk from either JR Tamachi Station or Mita Station on the Tokyo Metropolitan Subway's Mita Line. It is about two minutes by foot to NEC's headquarters building and ten minutes by subway to Otemachi.
Mr. Takada has been involved in foreign trade since 1972. From early on, he mastered communication by Telex and other tasks involved in foreign trade. He is very knowledgeable of the basic functions involved in trade (including foreign exchange). In addition, Mr. Takada conducts nearly all his communication (both domestic and international) by computer. He has been using e-mail since 1994, when UUCP was the only Internet connection available in Japan. An avid Macintosh user, Mr. Takada can use nearly all the software applications required for business. Mr. Takada's involvement with technology companies and venture capital firms in Japan spans over twenty years. He has transacted business with most of Japan's representative technology companies.
